Yervand Sarkisyan is an investor and entrepreneur focused on AI and deep tech. He is the founder of DeepTechX, a platform identifying the most ambitious deep tech founders and helping them build global companies through capital and networks.
He is also the founder of Mount Global, a family office and angel investment club, and a founding partner of Granatus Ventures, the first Armenian venture capital fund that helped catalyze the growth of Armenia’s modern tech ecosystem.
Over the past decade he has backed companies across AI, robotics, advanced computing, quantum technologies, space, bio, and nuclear energy. He backed the venture studio that created Picsart, now a unicorn with more than 2.5 billion downloads, and is an investor in Gecko Robotics, a unicorn building first-order data on the physical world. Many of the companies he backs emerge from leading ecosystems such as Y Combinator and top research universities including Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford, Berkeley, and MIT.
In addition to technology investing, he has been active in the art world, working with Saatchi Art and Sedition Art, and previously ran an art gallery focused on contemporary artists. Yervand holds a Master’s degree in Finance with distinction from London Business School and degrees in mathematics and computer science.
